Ukrainian Vice-Speaker Due in Tehran Next Week
TEHRAN (FNA)- Vice-Speaker of Ukraine's Parliament Mykola Tomenko is due to pay a visit to Iran next week.
The visit by the senior Ukrainian lawmaker will take place at the invitation of the Vice-Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Seyed Shahaboddin Sadr.
During the trip to Tehran, Tomenko is due to attend meetings with Sadr and other Iranian parliamentary officials, including Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
Meantime, chairman of the Indonesian parliament's Foreign Policy Committee is due to pay a visit to Iran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Alaoddin Boroujerdi in less than a month.
Chairmen of a number of Afghan parliament committees are also due to take a trip to Tehran in coming weeks.
Expansion of bilateral ties, particularly in parliamentary grounds, exchange of legislative experiences, discussion of ways to expand and bolster economic investments and cooperation are among the main topics on the agenda of the upcoming talks between the Iranian officials and the visiting parliamentary delegations from Ukraine, Indonesia and Afghanistan.
