S. Korea appoints new consuls general to Atlanta, Toronto, Yokohama

SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- South Korea appointed new consuls general to Atlanta of the United States, Toronto of Canada and Yokohama of Japan, in a regular reshuffle of the posts, the foreign ministry said Monday.
A former chief of the Korean Culture and Information Service, Kim He-beom, was named consul general to Atlanta, while Chung Kwang-kyun, director-general for foreign and security policy at the Prime Minister's Office, was appointed consul general to Toronto, the ministry said in a statement.
Lee Soo-john, deputy director-general for consular affairs at the Foreign Ministry, was named consul general to Yokohama, it said.
