Ssangyong Motor launches new flagship sedan Chairman W

SEOUL, July 6 (Yonhap) -- Ssangyong Motor Co., the smallest automaker in South Korea, on Wednesday unveiled the newest version of its flagship sedan, the Chairman. The New Chairman W comes in three trims -- CW600 equipped with a 3.2-liter engine, CW700 with a 3.6-liter engine and V8 5000 that comes with a 5-liter engine. The 3.2-liter engine produces maximum horsepower of 225 and maximum torque of 30.2 kilogram-meters. The vehicle comes about a month after Ssangyong Motor introduced the third-generation model of its smaller Chairman H sedan in late May. "The Chairman W, which opened the country's market for large luxury vehicles, has been reborn with improved safety and convenient features, along with a new design," Ssangyong Motor President Lee Yoo-il said. The New Chairman W is the company's largest sedan, and comes for a price of 57 million won (US$53,500) to 66 million won for the CW600 model, 67.5 million won for the CW700 model and 107 million won for the V8 5000 model.
