Spokesman Urges Regional Unity against Zionist Regime

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast stressed the necessity for the regional countries to maintain unity and increase their collective cooperation against enemies, and asked them to keep vigilant against the threat of the Zionist regime.
"All the regional countries should stand beside each other, and the main threat, the Zionist regime, should be taken seriously," Mehman-Parast told reporters in the Southern city of Shiraz in Fars province on Wednesday.
He further cautioned about the plots hatched by the enemies, specially the great powers, to create rifts among the regional Muslim countries to secure the interests of the Zionist regime.
"We have recommended the regional states that the way to be strong and have real might and power is not resorting to the trans-regional powers."
"Only those states can feel mighty and powerful that enjoy the support of a majority of their own people," he added.
Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, have repeatedly called on worldwide Muslims to enhance unity and solidarity to defuse enemy plots.
Ayatollah Khamenei said during an address to a group of Iranian officials, ambassadors of Muslim states and Iranian people in September that Muslim nations should get closer to each other day by day and move in line with unity because that's the sole way of campaign against enemies of Islam.
The Leader reiterated that Islamic nations should be united in all Muslim world-related issues.
The Supreme Leader further said it would be wrong to believe enemies of Islam are friends to a group of Muslims and hostile to certain others because they oppose Islam in principle since this religion in core wants resistance against the bullying powers.
