ITAR-TASS chief in St. Petersburg receives media manager award
MOSCOW, July 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Head of ITAR-TASS bureau in St.
Petersburg Boris Petrov was awarded the annual national Media-Manager of
Russia award on Thursday.
He received a seagull figurine symbolizing freedom, openness, and
unlimited possibilities in the media business.
Petrov, who has been heading the St. Petersburg bureau since 1992, was
the initiator and the first chairman of the League of Journalists of the
city and is currently presiding in the Association of northwestern media.
The award was instituted in 2001 to advocate most significant
developments in the media business.
