Iran to Send First Cargo of Humanitarian Aids to Yemen

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Red Crescent Society plans to dispatch the country's first cargo of humanitarian aids to Yemen this week, a senior official of the society announced on Saturday.
Speaking to FNA, Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society's Relief and Rescue Organization Mahmoud Mozaffar said that the aid cargo contains humanitarian aids and basic commodities, including medicines, food stuffs, and basic sheltering needs.
He added that Iran had announced its preparedness to send humanitarian aids to Yemen after political crisis erupted in the Middle-Eastern country, and the dispatch of the first cargo was approved through the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in the region and Yemen's red crescent society.
The Yemeni people have continued rallies in different parts of the country in recent months to underline the full overthrow of the regime of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh and condemn foreign interference in their country's domestic affairs, specially by Saudi Arabia.
Protestors are still shouting their resistance until Saleh's offshoots are all taken down from power, stressing that their revolution would continue until achievement of all the goals specified at the initial stage.
The Yemeni protestors found themselves halfway to victory after fugitive Saleh, who was wounded in an attack on his compound, escaped to Saudi Arabia, which shelters fugitive dictators these days.
Meantime, Saleh appeared on state TV late Thursday, a first since flying to Saudi Arabia.
Saleh was shown with casts on his arms, visibly weakened after a series of operations, which reinforced speculation that he will not return to Yemen soon.
Saleh did not say whether or when he plans to return.
