VLADIVOSTOK, July 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Residents from the building that
collapsed in Yakutsk on Saturday night are accommodated at an evacuation
station in the building of a vocational school and provided with hot
meals, water and necessities.
Three balconies and a part of the back wall collapsed in the
three-story building when 45 people were inside. Nobody was hurt, the
press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's department in Yakutia
confirmed.
Wok is under way at the site to remove the debris.
Yakutia's head Yegor Borisov and government commission members
consider where the people will move then.
The collapse was caused by soil subsidence.
It is the second serious apartment building incident in Yakutsk over a
month. Three balconies collapsed in a five-story building in the city in
the morning on June 20. Nobody was hurt.
