Temples in Tuva to be built with financial support of Chinese,

KYZYL, July 9 (Itar-Tass) -- The construction of a major Buddhist
temple and an Orthodox church in Tuva will be completed with financial
support of Chinese and Russian investors.
The agreements were concluded during the trips of the Tuva head to
China and Moscow, government head Sholban Kara-ool told local media
editors in chief on Saturday.
The capital's main Buddhist temple has no enough space for all people
who come during religious holidays. The St. Trinity church either has no
capacity for all Orthodox worshipers, the official noted.
The construction of another church -- the Resurrection Cathedral --
began in 2002 and was suspended in 2005. It resumed only in 2009. The
construction work is 60 percent done by the present. Builders plan to
complete the work this season with sufficient financing.
According to Kara-ool, the administration of China's major mining
holding, the founder of the company that builds a plant in Tuva, intends
to support the Buddhist temple construction in Kyzyl.
The charity fund of the Russian Railways company will provide eight
million roubles to complete the construction of the Orthodox church in the
city. The Severstal company also considers how much it will provide as a
charity donation for the construction. Its subsidiary has a license in
Tuva to mine coal.
