Medvedev congratulates Chavez on Venezuela independence jubilee

MOSCOW, July 11 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
cordially congratulated in a telephone conversation his Venezuelan
counterpart Hugo Chavez "on the 200th anniversary of Venezuela's
independence, which had been recently celebrated broadly in the country,
and wished a strong health and successes to him, peace and wellbeing to
the Venezuelan people," the Russian presidential press service reported on
Sunday.
"During the conversation the presidents stated that they are satisfied
with the progress to fulfill the agreements that were reached at the top
level on practical issues of further development of trade and economic
cooperation, which a high frequency of contacts at various levels
promotes," the Russian presidential service reported.
