Hyundai Heavy wins US$400 mln order from Germany
SEOUL, July 11 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's top shipbuilder, earned an order worth US$400 million to build ships for a German shipping line, industry sources said Monday.
Under the deal with Hamburg Sud, Hyundai Heavy will deliver four 9,600-TEU (20-foot equivalent units) ships, industry sources said.
With the latest contract, Hyundai Heavy has won a total of $1.6 billion worth of ship orders since January.
