BALL IN HANDS OF JUDICIARY
In a meeting held on Monday, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) decided to wait for formal criminal charges to be filed before it took any measures in the match-fixing scandal of Turkey. The TFF said that until all criminal charges were filed no club would be relegated. The TFF said that the Spor Toto Super League would begin on August 5 as planned.

A CROSS-BORDER OPERATION MAY TAKE PLACE TO RESCUE 3 TURKS
Three Turks, including two soldiers, were recently kidnapped in Lice town of south-eastern province of Diyarbakir. Turkish Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin said that "a cross-border operation" may take place in order to rescue the kidnapped Turks.

ONE PROBLEM SOLVED
Republican People's Party (CHP), which reached a consensus with Justice & Development (AK) Party, took oath at the parliament. Meanwhile, Peace & Democracy Party (BDP), which continues its boycott, said the declaration signed during AK Party-CHP meeting was not binding for them.
AK Party and CHP officials agreed on the joint declaration prepared to overcome the crisis over jailed deputies. The declaration did not include any concrete legal amendments regarding the barred lawmakers, however, it said, "We believe all political parties and deputies should be present at the parliament".

SECOND DETENTION WAVE
The investigation over match-fixing allegations has reached Trabzonspor football club and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). Trabzonspor, who had hopes for championship, has been shocked by the latest detentions. In the second wave of the match-fixing investigation, numerous names including TFF's former head Mahmut Ozgener, Trabzonspor chairman Sadri Sener, deputy chairman Nevzat Sakar, Ankaragucu player Serdar Kulbilge, Ankaragucu's former executive Mumtaz Karakaya, as well as former federation executives Levent Kizil, Ufuk Ozerten and Ozkan Kilik were detained.

FENERBAHCE NOT TO BE RELEGATED
President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Ali Aydinlar said that they would wait for criminal charges to be filed in the match-fixing scandal of Turkey. "We have no evidence pointing out to a match-fixing. The Spor Toto Super Leauge would kick off on August 5 as planned," Aydinlar noted. According to Aydinlar's comments, Fenerbahce will not be relegated for the time being.

PKK CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR KIDNAPPING OF 3 TURKS
Terrorist organization PKK has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of three Turks, including two soldiers, in Lice town of the south-eastern province of Diyarbakir recently. PKK said that "unless military operations ended in the region, such acts of kidnapping would continue".
