Kish Island to Host PPS 2011 Int'l Conference

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Polymer Association in collaboration with Amirkarbir University of Technology is due to hold the PPS 2011 International Conference in Kish Island in the Persian Gulf in a bid to boost scientific interactions among researchers specialized in oil and petrochemical areas of expertise.
As another goal pursued by the organizers, the conference will hopefully provide a perfect opportunity for presentation of novel technologies related to materials, fibers, foams, etc. Polymeric nanocomposites are one of the topics pertaining to nanotechnology.

In addition, a number of foreign experts have been invited to the conference, including Dr. Avraam I. Isayev from Akron University, Dr. Patrick Anderson of Eindhoven University, Dr. Evan Mitsoulis from National Technical University of Athens, Dr. Uttandaraman Sundararaj from University of Calgary and Dr. Pierre Carreau from ?cole Polytechnique de Montréal.

According to PPS 2011 secretariat, nearly 120 nanotech-related research papers have been submitted so far by researchers from Iran, Canada, Japan, Greece, US, Norway, Belgium, Austria, India, etc.
