Iraqi Police Dismisses Terrorist Nature of Tuesday Blasts in Karbala

TEHRAN (FNA)- At least one person was killed and 19 others were wounded in a series of blasts against three gas stations in the Southern Iraqi city of Karbala Tuesday night, but Iraq's police department said the blasts were not a terrorist attack.
"Last night three gas stations in Karbala city were set on fire due to the blasts that occurred in the fuel tanks, killing one person and injuring 19 others," Spokesman of Karbala province's Police Department Ahmad Khales told FNA on Wednesday.

Khales reiterated that the three stations were set on fire due to the negligence of the workers.

According to the spokesman, 12 cars belonging to the Iraqi citizens were also damaged in the blasts.
