   SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea from July 7 to July 13, 2011.

July
   7 Premier Choe Yong-rim visits the Tudan Duck Farm in Pyongyang.
   7 An art group of the dance drama "Confetti on Silk Road" of the Gansu Provincial Song and Dance Theatre of China led by Zhang Ming, vice-director of the Cultural Department of Gansu Province, arrives in Pyongyang to mark the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the North Korea-China treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance.
   7 Choe Thae-bok, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), meets with Le Quang Ba, a newly appointed Vietnamese ambassador to North Korea, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang.
   8 The (North) Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says the European Union has decided to offer emergency food aid to North Korea.
   8 A remembrance concert entitled "Our Country Where the President's Desire Has Come True" is held at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre on the 17th anniversary of the late former North Korean leader Kim Il-sung.
   9 A North Korean friendship delegation led by Yang Hyong-sop, vice president of the SPA Presidium, leaves Pyongyang to attend celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the North Korea-China treaty at the invitation of the Chinese government.
   9 A delegation of the North Korea-China Friendship Association led by Choe Chang-sik, minister of Public Health and chairman of the Central Committee of the Association, leaves Pyongyang to attend celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the North Korea-China treaty at the invitation of the Chinese government.
   9 A North Korean government economic delegation led by Ri Ryong-nam, minister of Foreign Trade, leaves Pyongyang to take part in the 7th meeting of the North Korea-Syria Joint Economic Committee to be held in Damascus, the capital of the Middle Eastern country.
   9 A delegation of the North Korean Olympic Committee led by its Vice Chairman Son Kwang-ho, vice minister of Physical Culture and Sports, leaves Pyongyang to participate in the 30th meeting of the Asian Olympic Council in Tokyo.
   9 A delegation of the Japan Nagano Prefectural People's Council for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea led by Hiroji Nakagawa, member of the Nagano Prefectural Assembly, arrives in Pyongyang.
   10 A Chinese friendship delegation led by Zhang Dejiang, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice premier, arrives in Pyongyang to mark the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the North Korea-China treaty.
   10 A delegation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Korea Friendship Association arrives in Pyongyang to mark the 50th anniversary of the North Korea-China treaty.
   10 The opera "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" is staged at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre for a Chinese friendship delegation led by Zhang Dejiang.
