Germany's ThyssenKrupp to set up subsidiary in Russia's Ulyanovsk reg

ULYANOVSK, July 17 (Itar-Tass) -- Germany's ThyssenKrupp AG will set
up a subsidiary in Russia's Ulyanovsk region to manufacture aircraft
components, the press service of the regional government told Itar-Tass.
According to the press service, the would-be enterprise will be housed
at the Aviastar-SP aircraft-building plant.
"Investors are coming to our region thanks to a weighty package of
privileges, assistance from the administration and favourable conditions
for work," the region's governor, Sergei Morozov, said.
ThyssenKrupp AG plans to establish cooperation with Aviastar-SP to
make equipment for the production of MS21 aircraft, a jet designed to
replace the medium-haul Tu-204 plane.
ThyssenKrupp is an integrated materials and technology group with
currently some 177,000 employees in around 80. In addition to
manufacturing materials and plants, the Group also provides complete
system solutions and innovative services.
