Policeman killed, 2 injured in bomb blast in Dagestan's Kaspiisk

MAKHACHKALA, July 18 (Itar-Tass) -- A policeman died at the hospital,
another two policemen were injured in the blast, which went off when a
police patrol car was driving in the Dagestani city of Kaspiisk overnight
to Monday, spokesman for the Dagestani branch of the Investigation
Committee told Itar-Tass on Monday.
"The explosion went off at about 2 a.m. Moscow time, when the UAZ
police patrol car was driving in Ordzhonikidze Street," a source in the
Dagestani Interior Ministry said. The bomb was detonated on the roadside.
The city gas pipeline was also damaged in the blast. The gas supplies
were disrupted.
