U.N. chief says sustainable development to top his agenda

GENEVA, July 19 (Yonhap) -- U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday that sustainable development will top the agenda of his second term as head of the United Nations that begins Jan. 1.
   Ban said he will pay special attention to sustainable development over the next five years, saying it is interconnected with climate change, global health, food and energy shortages, and water scarcity.
   Ban, who was re-elected to a second five-year term in June as the leader of the U.N., made the comments at the Third Global Review of Aid for Trade, a conference hosted by the World Trade Organization.
