Vientiane province aims to win 27 medals at Champassak Games

(KPL) Vientiane province will send 271 athletes to compete in nine sport events of the 8th National Games, aiming to win 8 gold medals, 9 silver and 10 bronze.
At the Champassak Games, which will be held in Champassak on 13-22 December, the athletes will compete in football, volleyball, rattan ball, petanque, shooting, bowling, boat racing, muay and golf.
So far, the athletes of the province have been training with Vietnamese coaches.
Vientiane Provincial Sports Committee held a meeting on preparing the athletes and budget to spend in its sporting activities last weekend in the province with the attendance of Deputy Governor of Vientiane Province Mr Bounmy Phouthavong and relevant officials.
The province has agreed to spend a sum of 1.2 billion kip for the competition of its athletes at the Champassak Games.
It also pledges to award 600,000 kip up to 1.2 million kip to every athlete who wins medal at the games.
