Lavrov meets with China's, Australia's counterparts at ASEAN forum

BALI ISLAND, July 22 (Itar-Tass) -- Development of bilateral
cooperation was discussed at the bilateral meeting at Bali of foreign
ministers of Russia and China Sergei Lavrov and Yang Jiechi.
The ministers exchanged views on most important international topics
and on the work of regional forums, a source in Russia's foreign ministry
said.
During the meeting with his Australian counterpart Kevin Rudd, Lavrov
also discussed cooperation between the two countries in the international
arena, including in the Asian-Pacific Region.
"During the talks, the foreign ministers discussed the present state
and the prospects of development of the Russian-Australian relations and
mutual cooperation of the two countries in the international arena,
including in the Asian-Pacific Region," the diplomat said. "They expressed
mutual interest in further expanding cooperation in political, trade,
economic and other spheres."
The ministers signed a plan of consultations of foreign ministries for
2011.
On the sidelines of the RF-ASEAN ministerial meeting, which was
organised on Friday in the Nusa Dua resort of Indonesia's Bali Island,
Lavrov had a meeting with the foreign minister of Vietnam.
