Laos signs visa exemption pact with Peru
Vientiane,july.(KPL)- The governments of the Lao PDR and Peru have signed an agreement on Visa exemption for civil servants and diplomatic corps between two countries.
The exemption of Visa will provide to whose having diplomatic, official and specials passports.
The agreement was a milestone event to enhance the existing cooperation between Laos and Peru. It also facilitates the travel and exchange visit for people of two nations.
Signing ceremony of agreement was held at the Lao Embassy in Bangkok, on Wednesday between Lao Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Oune Phommachack and Ambassador of Peru to the Lao PDR, based in Thailand Mr. Jorge Juan Castaenda Mendez.
Laos and Peru was established the diplomatic relationships on 27 April 1989.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith paid an official visit to Peru in August 2007.
During the visit, both sides have signed agreements on founding cooperation commission on science and socio-culture and protection of intellectual property rights.
