One more Bulgaria wreck victim identified
MOSCOW, July 25 (Itar-Tass) -- Among the six dead bodies recovered
from the wrecked Bulgaria pleasure boat on Saturday two were identified as
crew members, a spokesman for the ministry of health of the republic of
Tatarstan told Itar-Tass.
"One of the six dead was identified as Vladimir Padyachev, born 1954,"
the spokesman said. According to the lists of the emergencies ministry, he
was a crew member. Earlier in the day, another man was identified also as
a Bulgaria crew member.
As of now, five out of the six bodies found on the MS Bulgaria wreck
site have been identified. "The identification of one woman continues,"
the spokesman said.
The Bulgaria's crew numbered 36, as many as 23 of them were rescued.
According to the list posted on the Tatarstan emergencies administration
website, four crew members "were not registered as members of the crew."
As of now, two women from the crew are still missing.
The Bulgaria pleasure ship, which was on a Bolgary-Kazan river voyage,
sank in a storm in the Kuibyshevskoye dam lake, three kilometers away from
the shore, on July 10. The ship built in Czechoslovakia in 1955 titled to
the right and sank within minutes. The death toll has reached 120.
According to latest information, there were 201 people aboard, some of
them unregistered. Seventy-nine were rescued. Two are still missing.
Rescuers believe their bodies are in the engine compartment.
