SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks started higher on gains in oil refiners on Tuesday, despite overnight Wall Street losses, analysts said.

Leading refiner SK Innovation rose 1.2 percent and No. 3 player S-Oil jumped 1.63 percent, and top automaker Hyundai Motor also went up 0.85 percent. In contrast, market bellwether Samsung Electronics dropped 0.24 percent.
