Russia's SK ready to help Norway to investigate terrorist act
MOSCOW, July 26 (Itar-Tass) -- The Russian Investigation Committee is
ready to help Norway to investigate a horrible terrorist act.
"Investigation Committee chief Alexander Bastrykin said he is ready to
give all-round assistance to take any actions to investigate the crimes,
including the information that can help to find the guilty," spokesman of
the Russian Investigation Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on
Monday.
He noted that Bastrykin sent a letter to Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Norway in Russia Knut Hauge expressing
sincere condolences to the embassy and the whole Norwegian people over the
tragic events on July 22 that claimed many human lives.
"The Investigation Committee chief said with confidence that that the
Norwegian law enforcement agencies will find all details of these inhumane
crimes and those guilty will receive a deserved punishment," Markin said.
On July 23, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev offered the Norwegian
leadership to give assistance to overcome the aftermath of the tragedy,
which befell the Norwegian people.
"Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with Norwegian Prime
Minister Jens Stoltenberg to offer once again condolences to the prime
minister and the King Harald V of Norway and to express solidarity with
the people of this country," Russian presidential spokesperson Natalia
Timakova said. The Russian president asked the Norwegian prime minister to
convey sincere condolences to the relatives and near and dear of the
terror victims and those injured in the bomb ballast and the massacre at
the youth camp," she said.
"The president also offered any assistance, which Russia can give to
overcome this tragedy," Timakova underlined.
