Russia-Germany energy forum to open in South Urals.
CHELYABINSK, July 26 (Itar-Tass) -- A large-scale forum devoted to the
role of energy services in Russian-German partnership for modernization of
Russian economy will open here on Tuesday.
Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko, Minister of Regional
Development Viktor Basargin, Chief Executive of the German Energy Agency
DENA (Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH) Stephan Kohler and other chiefs of
economic and financial agencies of the countries will participate in a
two-day conference, the press service of the governor of the Chelyabinsk
Region reported.
After a plenary meeting of the forum, which will discuss the energy
saving role in Russian economic modernization, the forum guests will
familiarize with the projects of cooperation in the utilities and housing
sector, particularly the upgrading of 145 boiler houses in the towns and
villages of the Chelyabinsk Region, the modernization of the outdoor
illumination systems in 15 municipalities as well as the water supply
systems in the whole region.
The second day of the forum will be held in Yuzhnouralsk and will be
devoted to the energy services in the industrial sector of economy. The
participants in the forum will visit several enterprises, particularly the
South Ural armature insulation plant, which implemented the first energy
service project in the region.
