Georgian-Russian trade in 1st half of 2011 reaches 160 mln dlrs.

TBILISI, July 29 (Itar-Tass) - Georgian-Russian trade in the first
half of this year made up 160,496,000 dollars, up 4.5 percent from the
same period last year, Georgia's national statistics service reported on
Thursday.
In January through June 2011, Russia was the seventh largest foreign
trade partner, accounting for 3.9 percent of Georgia's trade turnover.
Over the designated period, Georgian exports to Russia made up 17.7
million dollars, and imports from Russia - 142.8 million dollars.
Turkey accounted for 16.3 percent of Georgia's trade turnover which
amounted to 4.17 billion dollars in the first half. Azerbaijan is the
second largest trade partner (10.7 percent), followed by Ukraine (10.3
percent), China (5.9 percent), Germany (5.1 percent) and the USA (4.2
percent).
