Iran Resumes Gas Exports to Turkey

TEHRAN (FNA)- Gas flow in the Iran-Turkey pipeline, which has been brought to a halt by an explosion, resumed on Saturday afternoon, an Iranian provincial official announced on Sunday.
Governor of Iran's Northwestern border city of Maku Hamid Ahmadian said that repair operation of gas pipeline has been completed on Saturday afternoon and gas export has been resumed again to Turkey.
The early Friday blast is said to have taken place near a village around Maku close to Iran's border with Turkey.
The pipeline had capacity of exporting around 30 million cubic meters natural gas daily to Turkey.
Meantime, spokesman of the National Iranian Gas Company Majid Bujarzadeh told FNA on Saturday that the cause of explosion has not been announced to the company yet.
