Iran Condoles with N. Korea over Flood Victims

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi extended his condolences to his North Korean counterpart Pak Ui Chun on the death of people in massive floods and mudslides in the East Asian state.
In his message, Salehi expressed regret over financial damages as well as death toll inflicted to the country's citizens.
He sympathized with the North Korean nation and the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the natural disaster.
Earlier last week, landslides triggered by torrential rains left dozens dead or missing in South Korea, where hundreds of homes have also been inundated.
A mudslide hit an inn and three homes in the mountainous Chuncheon area 100 kilometers (60 miles) east of Seoul, claiming the lives of 13 people.
Nine people were also killed in a mudslide at Bangbaedong in Southern Seoul.
Moreoever, heavy downpours pounded the North Korea from July 12 to 15 and left homes, roads and more than 20,000 hectares of farmland submerged, and caused severe casualties.
