Samsung C&T wins US$165 mln order from Singapore
SEOUL (Yonhap) - Samsung C&T Corp., a South Korean trading and construction company, said Wednesday that it has clinched a US$165 million deal to build berths at a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Singapore.
Under the deal with Singapore LNG Corp., Samsung C&T will construct berths at the LNG storage terminal on Jurong Island, Singapore.
It will take 29 months to complete the construction, said the builder.
Samsung C&T said that the order will help the company win another deal to construct LNG and LPG tanks for the Singapore project.
Samsung C&T has won three deals from Singapore this year alone, including the one to build an urban subway.
