Investment roundtable to be organized at Baikal economic forum.

IRKUTSK, August 3 (Itar-Tass) -- A round table, called Investments and
Legal Protection for Small and Medium Businesses will be organized at the
VII Baikal international economic forum on September 12-14.
Key topics for discussion will include basic directions and
implementations of the anti-crisis programme to support small and medium
entrepreneurship, legal support and legal backing for small and medium
businesses, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Irkutsk Region Vladimir
Pashkov told a news conference on Wednesday. The participants in the event
will discuss also the basic directions of improvement of legislation in
the sphere.
Analyses of previous forum's roundtables show that the biggest
interest was paid to discussions about development of small and medium
businesses. Most of expressed recommendations were used. For example, in
Pribaikalsk city, Pashkov said, there is a guarantee fund and a long-term
special programme, called Support and Development of Small and Medium
Businesses. The programme was adopted, and the regional budget invested 81
million rubles in 2011, and later, following results of the competition,
organized by Russia's Ministry of Economic Development, another 329
million rubles were attracted from the federal budget.
Pashkov stressed, that according to the results of 2010, the regional
small businesses showed positive dynamics. Businesses' tax payments to the
region's consolidated budget grew by 20 percent. The region's own
production grew by 25 percent against that in 2009. The average wages in
small businesses grew by 25 percent, too.
