Turkish Envoy Underlines Reinvigoration of Economic Cooperation with Iran
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Turkish diplomat announced that the level of trade exchanges between Tehran and Ankara amounted to $11bln in the last year, and called for a further boost in the economic cooperation between the two neighboring states.
"The 11-billion-dollar trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey in one year is highly satisfactory," Turkish Commercial Attaché in Iran Chakar Oqlou said on Saturday.
He pointed to the two countries' abundant potentials and capacities, and stressed that the level of economic exchanges between Iran and Turkey should further increase.
Iran and Turkey have in recent years increased their cooperation in all the various fields of economy, security, trade, education, energy and culture.
The two sides have exchanged several politico-economic delegations during the last few months.
