Haddadi Clinches Bronze Medal in London Grand Prix
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Haddadi bagged the bronze medal in the 12th stage of the Diamond League 2011.
The Diamond League is an annual series of fourteen track and field competitions.
The London Grand Prix is the 12th stage of the event.
Iran's Asian discus throw record-holder Ehsan Haddadi has stood third in this stage of the Diamond League 2011 at the Crystal Palace National Sports Center in London on Saturday.
Two-time Olympic and world discus throw champion Virgilijus Alekna from Lithuania secured the first place with a throw of 66.71 meters, while Hungarian thrower Zoltan Kovago finished second with a record of 66.29 meters.
The Iranian athlete earned the third spot with a throw of 64.76 meters.
The 13th stage, titled Weltklasse Zurich, is scheduled to be held in Switzerland on September 8, and the world-class games will end on September 16 in Brussels, Belgium.
