Khammouane donates 40 million kip to flood victims
VIENTIANE,AUG.(KPL)- President of Khammouane Lao Front for National Construction, Mr. Bounyong Khinsamone representing the province has presented 40 million kip in cash to Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Bounkhong Lasoukhanh to relieve the flood victim in central and northern provinces.
The fund will then be purchased relief aid package to distribute the flood victims in central and northern provinces which have been reportedly hard-hit by the flood.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Vientiane on August 2.
Between June 24-26, Haima typhoon hit Sayaboury, Xiengkhouang, Vientiane, Borlikhamsay and Khammouane provinces leading to torrential rains and flood which left damage cost of more than 100 billion kip.
At the same week, Head of Bokeo Administration Office, Mr. Soubanh Somphasong donated 40 million kip and Public Printing donated 5 million kip to Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mrs. Onchan Thammavong.
