S. Korean Film Festival to Showcase Iranian Movies
TEHRAN (FNA)- The 2011 edition of Busan International kid's Film Festival (BIKi) in South Korea is scheduled to display a number of selected movies directed by Iranian filmmaker Pouran Derakhshandeh.
A particular section at the festival is set to review several works of Pouran Derakhshandeh focusing on the problems of kids and Young adults.
The festival plans to screen Derakhshandeh's four length- feature films including Relationship (1986), A Little Bird of Happiness (1987), Wet Dream (2005) and Eternal Children (2006).
The 60-year-old Iranian director, producer, screenwriter and researcher, Pouran Derakhshandeh graduated in film directing from Tehran's School of Television and Cinema in 1975.
Passing Through the Dust (1988), Lost Time (1989), Love Without Border (1998), A Candle in the Wind (2003) are her other better-known films.
Derakhshandeh who has won many domestic and international awards, plans to attend the Busan festival, reviewing and examining her own films.
The 6th edition of the Busan International kid's Film Festival will take place from August 12 to 16, 2011. The event is exclusively held for children, with presenting movies about children, for children and even by children.
