Supreme Leader Underlines Iran's Effective Role in World Equations

TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Iran is experiencing the best conditions at the international level and plays an effective role in world equations and politics.
"Today, the Islamic Republic is seen as a respectable, effective, reliable and influential country in the world and in the atmosphere of the international politics," the Supreme Leader said in a meeting with the heads of the three branches of power, top military commanders of the armed forces, senior statesmen and officials in Tehran on Sunday.

Ayatollah Khamenei dismissed certain reports that Iran is experiencing bad conditions on the international scene, and said, "Today we are in very good conditions internationally."

In relevant remarks in June, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani had also underscored that Iran plays an influential role in the region despite all the plots hatched by the enemies to undermine the Islamic Republic.

"Iran has turned into an independent, influential and inspiring country in the region, and the enmity of our enemies is not because of issues such as (Tehran's) nuclear program," Larijani said, addressing a group of people in Iran's Northern city of Babol at the time.

Larijani described Iran's regional influence as the root cause of the hostility of Iran's enemies.

"The enemies of our country always tried to achieve their objectives such as separatism through plots and causing sedition," Larijani state, adding, "But they realized that they could not counter this revolution thorough coups d'état or similar measures."
