MMG Lane Xang Minerals donates 77 m kip for flood victims
VIENTIANE,AUG.(KPL)- MMG Lane Xang Minerals Limited Manager of Sales and Customs Clearance Thanousone Fongsouvanh has presented a relief package worth 77 million kip to Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Ms. Onechanh Thammavong to further present to flood victims of typhoon Haima-hit provinces in northern and central Laos.
The handover of the assistance took place last Friday at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in Vientiane.
On this occasion, Ms. Onechanh expressed thanks to the MMG Lane Xang Minerals Limited for its generous assistance.
Between July 14 and August 5, 2011, over 540 million kip were donated by 73 individuals and organizations for flood victims in six northern and central provinces via the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
Damage caused by typhoon Haima on June 24-26 has been estimated at almost 700 billion kip.
