Iranian VP to Visit Kazakhstan Tuesday

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Vice-President and Head of Iran's Department of Environment Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh is scheduled to visit Astana, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday to participate in a meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states on the environmental issues of the Sea.
"Iranian Vice President and the Head of Iranian Environment Department Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh plans to unveil the country's views on convention of Caspian Sea environment protection in the meeting," Iranian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Qorban Seifi said.
"Representatives of the Caspian Sea five littoral states will attend the conference as well," he said.
The meeting mainly seeks to examine environment-related issues of the sea, agreements of the five states and current situation of the sea.
Also deputy foreign ministers of the five counties and representatives of the states for Caspian Sea will travel to Astana late September or early October to attend the 30th work group of arranging the sea's legal regime.
Iranian President Special Envoy for Caspian Sea Affairs Mohammad Mehdi Akhoundzadeh takes part in the work group.
The five Caspian Sea littoral states include Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia.
