Attempts to impose reforms to DPRK attack its sovereignty
PYONGYANG, August 9 (Itar-Tass) -- The claims presented to the DPRK to
be open and to embark on reforms are attempts from imperialist countries
to isolate and stifle the country, the Rodong Sinmun, the country's
leading newspaper, writes in an article published on Tuesday.
The intention to impose to the republic reforms from outside are
considered as "attack on its sovereignty, interference with its home
affairs and violation of international law, which regulates relations
between states."
This practice "is unacceptable in the international community," the
newspaper stresses.
Rodong Sinmun writes that over past 50 years, imperialist countries
tried several times to "eliminate the socialist system in the DPRK by
using threats, pressure, sabotage, blockade and subversion."
However, each of the attempts "was doomed to failure," the newspaper
added.
