Turkey condemns Israel's decision to construct new houses in east Jerusalem

ANKARA (A.A) - August 9, 2011 - Turkey on Tuesday condemned decision of Israeli government to construct houses in Har Homa in East Jerusalem.
According to a decision made by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Israeli government on the one side made calls to resume talks with the Palestinian party and on the other side disregarded all international calls and continued illegal housings. The statement said it further weakened atmosphere of confidence between the parties and it was unacceptable.
The statement said, "we once again call on Israel to act being aware of its responsibilities stemming from international laws and invite Israel to put an end to its implementations aiming at changing status of East Jerusalem."
