Unique exhibition train arriving in Yekaterinburg.
YEKATERINBURG, August 10 (Itar-Tass) - A unique exhibition train is
arriving in Yekaterinburg on Wednesday that presents innovative projects
of foreign companies. The press service of the Sverdlovsk railway told
Itar-Tass that the unusual train consists of three service-dwelling and
eight exhibition of cars, each of which is devoted to some innovative
project or company.
"This project provides an opportunity to get familiarised with the
scientific and technical novelties in the field of energy efficient and
resources-saving technologies, with the new rolling stock designs, with
the use of alternative and clean energy sources, as well as satellite
technology, created in the Russian Federation," the press service
explained.
The exhibition cars present models of modern rolling stock of Russian
Railways Company (RZD): turbine-electric locomotives, freight cars to
transport coal, passenger locomotives, a diesel locomotive, a two-story
passenger car. In addition, the visitors will be able to get familiarised
in the cars with the history of the national railways development, as well
as with the country's modern railway network infrastructure. In
particular, miniature copies of the railway terminal of the airport in
Adler and railway complex at Baikonur cosmodrome will be put on display.
RUSNANO, Rosatom and Philips will also present their products in the train.
The staff of the mobile exhibition and lecture complex consists of 16
employees. Among them there are qualified guides who will acquaint
visitors with the presented exposition.
The exhibition train will stay in Yekaterinburg until August 14.
The unique exhibition centre on the rails hit the road on August 3
with from the Riga railway terminal in Moscow to Sovetskaya Gavan
(Khabarovsk). The train will make stops at all major stations. It is
possible to hold lectures and seminars there on the show issues. The train
was formed from the cars created on the base of the new-generation
compartment cars made at the Tver Wagon Building Plant.
