75 policemen to ensure security of F East Fed University campus.

VLADIVOSTOK, August 10 (Itar-Tass) - Seventy-five policemen will
ensure security of the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU)
on the Russky Island. A special police station will be built to this end
in the area of the Balka Bay on the Saperny Island by 2012, the University
press service told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
"We are building an 'open city'- any resident and guest of Vladivostok
will be able to come to the FEFU campus. I am confident that this
department will ensure exemplary law and order protection in our
multicultural student city," vice-rector for the campus development
Nikolai Morozov said.
The Far Eastern Federal University campus is to become the most modern
in Russia and one of the best in the world. It is located at an area of
800,000 square metres, on the banks of the beautiful Ayaks Bay in an
ecologically clean area of the Russky Island. The construction of the
first stage of the campus - 11 comfortable rooms, dormitories, modern
academic buildings and laboratories, an oceanarium of the Far East branch
of the Russian Academy of Sciences for the joint with the FEFU use in
scientific and educational activities, a technology park and a student
centre, sports facilities, exhibition and concert halls. The Smart Campus
system, which includes an integrated information system of the university:
a universal electronic card, University electronic services, corporate and
educational portals will be implemented here.
In September 2012 the campus will host the main events of the
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum's summit, after which it
will be handed over to students of the Far Eastern Federal University.
