Kazakhstan increases oil and gas production in Jan-July.
ASTANA, August 11 (Itar-Tass) -- Kazakhstan increased the volume of
oil and gas production in January-July 2011 in comparison with the same
period of 2010.
According to the Statistics Agency, the volume of oil and gas
condensate production over seven months increased by 1.6 percent to 46.6
million tonnes. In 2010, the volume of production of these hydrocarbons in
the republic amounted to almost 80 million tonnes.
Production of natural gas in Kazakhstan in January-July 2011 grew by
8.5 percent to 23.1 billion cubic metres. In 2010, gas production amounted
to 37.4 billion cubic metres, and it is planned to increase its production
to 42 billion cubic metres in 2011.
