Charity concert for victims-hit Haima

VIENTIANE,AUG17.(KPL)- A charity concert for raising fund to help the victims-hit typhoon Haima in northern and central provinces in Laos will be held at the National Culture Hall, Vientiane Capital on 30 August. Deputy Minister of Public Health, Dr Som-Ock Kingsada said at last week’s press conference that the coming concert will be similarly held as the previous successful concerts for helping the victims-hit Ketsana tropical storm in southernmost provinces of Laos, the quake victims in Haiti and tsunami victims in Japan.
Dr Som-Ock added that this concert is to raise fund for helping the victims in Xiengkhoung, Sayaboury, Borikhamsay and Vientiane provinces where have been devastated by typhoon Haima
At the same day, many events will be organised ranging from a photo exhibition, taking photo with well-known Lao singers, donating relief aid packages to buying well-known Lao singers’ used clothes for raising fund. Don’t miss the great event to kick off at 10:00 am and run out 18:00 pm.
The current Lao singers will be invited to give the entertainments to the audiences at home via a broadcast, which will start at 18:00 pm.

The concert will be jointly organised by the Lao-German Friendship Association, Committee for Peace and Solidarity, the Lao Journalists’ Association, Lao Businesswomen’s Association, Handicrafts Association, the Foundation for Helping of Poor People, Lao Red Cross, the Lao Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Young Businesspeople Association.
