Azerpoct seals agreement with Ukraine and Belarus on urgent money transfers

Baku, August 20 (AzerTAc). National postal operator Azerpoct has signed an agreement with Ukraine and Belarus on urgent money transfers (UMTs) via Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information (STEFI).
Currently Azerpoct LLC is conducting work on introduction of UMT services between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, spokesman of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies (MCIT) said.
As stated, a new service of UMTs to Ukraine and Belarus is being put into operation. The service is introduced in accordance with the recommendations of the Universal Postal Union, and will enable to carry out transfers within three hours. Previously, UMTs between the CIS countries were carried out within three days.
Currently Azerpoct (under the MCIT) conducts money transfers with Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates.
