US to give special aid to DPRK suffered from floods

PYONGYANG, August 22 (Itar-Tass) -- The United States decided to give
extraordinary aid to the population of the DPRK suffered from floods
caused by torrential rains, the Central News Agency of Korea reported on
Monday without specifying details.
According to the information of the regional mass media, such
assistance to the total sum of up to 900,000 dollars will be rendered on
the sidelines of the International Development Agency which is a part of
the structure of the US State Department. US non-governmental charity
organizations will be involved in the direct distribution of aid in the
form of provisions and necessities. US aid will be first of all rendered
to the provinces of Hwanghae-pukto and Hwanghae-namdo which suffered most
of all from floods.
