Iran's Red Crescent Society to Set Up Medical Centers in Pakistan
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), in collaboration with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), is due to set up medical centers in different Pakistani provinces as part of its efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
The PRCS Chairperson, Senator Nilofar Bakhtiar, told journalists on her return from Iran, where she not only had detailed meetings with top officials of the IRCS, and also visited the projects being run by the society.
Bakhtiar said the IRCS is willing to start projects in Pakistan to minimise the suffering of the vulnerable, and that the PRCS will be extending maximum support in the establishment of medical centers and continuation of other activities.
"Both the societies will learn, share experiences and exchange technical knowledge in different fields," she said.
The PRCS will also facilitate the IRCS in obtaining necessary permission and NOC from the government for the equipment being brought for relief operations.
