Gaddafi alive and well - Libyan leader son Saif al-Islam
KUWAIT CITY, September 1 (Itar-Tass) - Muammar Gaddafi is alive and
well, son of the Libyan leader Saif al-Islam told the Al Arabiya TV
channel by telephone on Wednesday evening.
According to him, in Sirte, around which the rebels have tightened the
blockade, there are 20 thousand armed supporters of Gaddafi who will fight
to win. The younger Gaddafi has no doubt that they will win.
On August 23, 2011, Gaddafi lost control of Tripoli with the rebel's
capture of the Bab al-Azizia compound. Gaddafi's loyalist forces continue
warfare in limited locations. He faces prosecution by the International
Criminal Court, which has issued an arrest warrant for crimes against
humanity. Billions of dollars of his assets have been frozen. London has
recently assigned re-froze of 1.6 billion dollars his asset, in purpose of
humanitarian aid for Tripoli.
