Rodong Sinmun Terms Japan's Moves to Revise Constitution Dangerous

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, a Japanese high-ranking conservative politician at the place where the Ground "Self-Defense Force" is stationed in Hokkaido let loose a spate of reckless remarks that "there is not yet any environment where the SDF can act within the framework legitimately stipulated by the Constitution" and "it is necessary to create at the earliest possible date such environment through cooperation among politicians, regardless of ruling or opposition parties."
Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:
The existing Constitution which Japan has so far advocated as a "symbol of pacifist state" bans the possession of any regular forces and military capability forces and participation in any war.
Japan is contemplating further modernizing its militarist forces in a bid to round off its preparations for overseas aggression and go into action any moment. The first target of this scenario is the DPRK.
A spate of reckless remarks calling for the dispatch of the SDF in "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula are let loose and the attempt to grab Tok Islets are openly disclosed by the Japanese reactionary ruling forces. This eloquently proves that their reinvasion of Korea is becoming a reality. -0-
