Japanese expert awarded Labour Medal
(KPL) Minister of Planning and Investment Mr Soulivong Daravong on behalf of the Lao government has awarded Labour Medal (Third Class) to Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) expert prof. Dr. Motoyoshi Suzuki, who is an adviser to the Investment Promotion Department, the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The award ceremony was held last Thursday here and witnessed by officials from the ministries of planning and investment, foreign affairs, Japanese Ambassador to Laos Masaaki Miyashita and relevant officials.
As an adviser, Dr Suzuki has significantly contributed to the ministry. He has helped upgrade capacity building of the Investment Promotion Department of the ministry through holding training domestically and in Japan and has encouraged Japanese businessmen to invest in Laos.
