Typhoon Talas brings heavy rains in eastern Primorsky territory.

VLADIVOSTOK, September 5 (Itar-Tass) -- The Talas typhoon brought
heavy rains in eastern districts of the Primorsky Territory on Monday. The
tropical storm came to the territorial coast on Monday and will be moving
northward all next day to the south-eastern coast of the Primorsky
Territory, the press service of the regional weather-forecasting center
told Itar-Tass on Monday.
Northern and north-eastern winds were also getting stronger in the
coastal districts of the territory overnight to Monday with the gusts of
wind up to 20-25 meters per second.
The typhoon is expected to rage over Primorye for a day. About a
monthly precipitation norm and even more at some places is expected in
eastern and some central districts in the territory.
South-western districts of the territory, including Vladivostok,
turned out to be behind the storm, and no rains are reported here on
Monday, though some higher winds are reported.
All emergency services were put on alert in the Primorsky Territory.
Residents and guests in the territory are recommended to delay trips
outside the settlements, hunting or fishing and store food products and
medicines in advance.
On September 7, the storm will reach the coast of the Khabarovsk
Territory across the Tatar Strait. The weather will improve in the
Primorsky Territory, the winds will go down and the rains will stop on a
greater part of the territory.
