Investments in oil processing to be on agenda of Far East forum.
MOSCOW, September 6 (Itar-Tass) -- Attraction of investments in oil
processing projects in Russia's East will be a key topic of the 5th Far
East International Economic Forum, due on October 4-5 in Khabarovsk,
Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Vyacheslav Sport told an Itar-Tass
news conference on Monday.
"Presently, practically all parameters have gained the pre-crisis
level of 2008," he said.
Besides the "investment issue," the forum will discuss objectives and
effectiveness of strategic development of Russia's East, its foreign
economy factors, structure of the economy and modernisation, role of
development institutions in support of the regions, as well as
modernisation of railroad infrastructures, regional industrial policies
and energy effectiveness.
The upcoming forum will also discuss social and economic development
of the Far East regions and mechanisms of the social and economic
development of the Far East and the Baikal region to 2025, it will suggest
recommendations for quicker development of the Far East regions.
The forum will organise the XIII inter-regional Amur Trade and
Industry Fair - 2011.
The event participants will represent Russia's eleven regions, as well
as the U.S.A., Germany, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand.
